History of Umeed Welfare Trust:
 

THIS DECLARATION OF TRUST IS MADE
      
The 17th day of  OCTOBER  2003     by

        MEHRBAN HUSSAIN,
MOHAMMED YOUNIS,
MOHAMMED MAJID,
MOHAMMED RAFIQ,
MOHAMMED ASLAM,
FAZAL-UL-REHMAN,
ZAHOOR AHMED,
IFTIKHAR HUSSAIN,
ABAD HUSSAIN,
MOHAMMED AZAM,.

 WHEREAS the first trustees hold the sum of £1,200 Pounds Sterling on the trusts declared in this deed and it is contemplated that further money or assets may be paid or transferred to the trustees upon the same trusts.

 

NOW THIS DEED WITNESSES AS FOLLOWS:

 

A Administration.

The charitable trust constituted by this deed ("the Charity") and its property ("the trust fund") shall be administered and managed by the trustees (to be referred to as “the Board of Trustees”) under the name of

 

         THE UMEED WELFARE TRUST (UNITED KINGDOM)

 

or by such other name as the trustees from time to time decide.

 

B Aims/Objects

The aim of the Trust is: to benefit the poor and disadvantaged within the villages covered by the geographical area of Mid-Bainsi, Mirpur, Azad Kashmir, and to provide opportunities for the advancement of residents within the area in terms of meeting their health, educational, employment, social, housing, recreational, cultural and religious needs and to generally improve the welfare of the area as a whole.

 

In pursuing this aim the trustees shall hold the trust fund and its income upon trust to apply them for the benefit of the residents of Mid-Bainsi, District Mirpur Azad Kashmir for the following objects:

 

1.          To provide access to free health care, particularly free medical treatment and medicines to those deserving and in need and the provision of ambulances and the establishment of modern hospital facilities

2.          Provide access to free education for the children from impoverished backgrounds including financial assistance to students who wish to undertake further education at institutions outside the area

3.          Provide financial assistance and provide access to facilities to adults who wish to enter into education or learn new skills or trades

4.          Provide financial assistance towards the marriage expenses of the poor and needy

5.          Provide financial assistance to those that need a home or carry out repairs in inadequate dwellings of the poor and needy

6.          Provide other welfare assistance that is not specifically covered above but which is deemed by the Board to be in keeping with the overall aims of the Trust
